Frankincense (Boswellia carterii- Somalia): The HYDROSOL of Frankincense is a co-product produced during the course of steam distillation of Frankincense to make an essential oil. The aroma of Frankincense Hydrosol is somewhat sweeter and warmer than Frankincense steam distillate but with a resinous, conifer-like aroma. The taste is bitter but more appealing when diluted losing bitterness.
Topical Use: While Frankincense Hydrosol has the first effect of giving energy sensation to the body, it is calming, soothing, and invokes shalom and rest. Known to deepen and expand breathing and open airways, helping to dry up excess mucus and expel phlegm.
Topical Skin Use: Frankincense Hydrosol is excellent for the skin. It’s traditionally used as a spray facelift with its toning properties. See our Facelift & Glow Hydrosol Blend. Mist over face or skin area where needed and let air dry for finer texture reaction of the skin. Mist during summer heat when battling humidity.
