WORMWOOD (Artemisia absinthium)Aka Artemisia – well known as a remedy to aid expelling of roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms, and other parasites.

Asteraceae family; as a perennial herb, it has fibrous roots usually grows in temperate climates. Its flowers are light *yellow.  Its flowers and leaves emit a pleasant aroma.

As an essential oil, it’s dark green having a thin consistency and an earthy fragrance.  Extracted from the scented aerial parts of the plant.

Historical & Traditional Uses: 

• Stimulate discharge of *bile into the stomach. 
• Fight Infections due to virus and bacteria due to its chemical constitutents of alpha thujone and beta thujone.
• As an effective insecticide.
• Aid stress reduction, headaches, tension, due to constituents.

Traditional Herbal Medicinal Uses:  Round worms (lumbrici), atonic dyspepsia, diarrhea, bilious and liver troubles, falling sickness (epilepsy), flatulence, debility, nervous conditions, melancholia, jaundice, nausea, migraines, intermittent fevers, gout, rheumatism, swelling, sprains, cystitis.  Gather the herb when in flower.  Dry and immediately put in air-tight containers so as to not absorb moisture from the air.

Suggested Use:  Mix 1% – 10% NEAT (undiluted) with 90% – 95% Carrier Oil Such as F.C.O. Fractionated Coconut Oil, Pracaxi, Jojoba, Castor, Cucumber, Grapeseed, Moringa, Pomegranate, and Watermelon.
Apply MIXED BLEND with 10 – 20 drops depending on the size of the area to massage into skin tissue.

For sensitive, children, elderly, etc. – start with a 0.5% – 1% blend of Wormwood ONLY with Carrier.
